Brief History
I was 16 years old when I was first diagnosed with Meniere’s disease on January 11th, 2001. My symptoms first emerged in June of 2000 and became progressively worse. While attending my sophomore year in high school my vertigo became so severe that I began missing classes, eventually resulting in having to drop out of school in October of 2000. Just prior to the onset of my symptoms, I had maintained a 4.0 grade point average at Stadium High School.
My vertigo remained constant and debilitating until April of 2001. During the following 5 months, I only suffered occasional dizziness/vertigo. The vertigo came back in September of 2001. Like it had the time before, it got progressively worse and has led to me being disabled yet again.
