Right now, my time, space, and funds are limited. I am going to be content raising Sushi in a happy, healthy environment, and learning as much as I possibly can about Bettas, how to care for them, and how to raise them.
First thing I need is to have my garage finished, so I can unload all the tools and assorted "manly" junk out of my utility room. When that is done, I will set up my fish room in there. (out of the reach of my little ones) To begin with all I intend to do is get a female or 2 that are compatible with my male so I can breed them. I'd like to get a few pretties to keep. Long range though, I'd love to get into breeding beautiful pastels, for my own pleasure and for show.
I'm going to start collecting all the supplies I need to do this as I can. |

Garage is finished, tools out of the utility room. I have a stand set up holding my three 1 gallon bowls, an empty 2 gallon tank, and all my supplies. Since Sushi died, I have acquired three new fish which I am struggling to keep alive and healthy. Plans right now are on hold until I figure out what the problem is. I intend to get our water supply tested, as I am convinced this is at least part, if not all, of the problem. I want to get a water filter (Brita probably) to adjust the water.
Maybe one day I'll have a breeding pair. <sigh> |
