4 oz. flour
4 oz. oats
4 oz. sugar
4 oz. of butter (one stick or 1/2 cup)*
2 tbls. golden syrup
2 tbs. ground ginger
1/2 tbs. bicarb. soda
* You may substitute 1/4 cup butter with 1/4 cup yogurt for
a lighter or lower cholesterol cookie.
You may also add cranberries, raisins or nuts as desired.

Mix above dry ingredients.
Melt 4 oz. of butter and two tbls. golden syrup in a
saucepan.
Add butter and golden syrup mixture to dry ingredients and mix.
If you're using yogurt, add it now as well. Mix ingredients
well.
Make balls about walnut size and placed on a cookie sheet. Do
not grease the sheet.
Bake 350 F for apx. 10 minutes until edges are golden brown
and it smells good. |
