I will start out by letting everyone know that the Colts bantam team is located on the North side of Grande Prairie. The Colts practice location is at the Crystal Park School.
The Colts head coach this year is Matt Lucas. Matt Lucas was also the head coach of Total Combustion Paralyzers, just one of our Peewee teams.
Matt has also gone through our minor football program by playing two years in bantam and going to the Alberta Summer Games in his first bantam year. Matt played three years of high school football then went on to play one year of jr. in B.C for the Rams.
Matt's coaching experience is just as inpressive. Matt was one of the first three coaches to start the Peewee program in Grande Prairie. Matt has been very secsesful with the program over the years, with many good players to show for his hard work and was one of the coaches for the Alberta Summer Games 2002.
Matt has his level 2 and is presuing his level 3, has his standard in first aid and has his standard in sport med.
Jason Hawkes will be on the field with the Colts this year also. Jason was the head coach for the Midfield Mavericks, another one of our Peewee teams. Jason also helped out with the Alberta Summer Games 2002 and he played in the minor program as well. I know theres more to Jason's football story and I will have more in a couple of day's.
The Colts team manager this year is Dave Darragh. Dave was also the team manager for the Midfield Mavericks for our Peewee program that ended in July. |
