TWELFTH GENERATION

2092. William PRESTON * ⁽³¹¹⁾ was born about 1591 in England. He died about 1647 in New Haven, New Haven Co., CT. William and Mary arrived in America aboard the "Truelove" in 1635 with their daughters. The sons, Edward and Daniel, had preceded them in the "Christian", the first ship to sail that year. They settled in New Haven and William was among the first subscribers to the Compact of 1639. His will, dated 9 July 1647, bequeathed 1/4th of the estate in West Riding, England, to his widow and 3/4ths to the children of his first wife (?). He and Mary were members of the New Haven Church. He was married to Mary (Preston) UNKNOWN * before 1635 in England.
