1. It happens so Sri Raghavendra swamy performed miracles even before SaNyasa. Once Venkatanatha (PoorvAsharama name of Sri Raghavendra swamy) and his wife Sarswathi were on their way to Kaveri Pattana ( home town), there in a small Agrahara a wealthy by the name of BheemaRaya sees them entering the town and invites them for that day to have Tiirtha and Prasada. So venkatanatha and sarswathi goes to the near by stream and venkatanatha finishes up Pooja and Sandhaya Vanda in the afternoon and retires to BheemaRaya's house. But as he enters the house, BheemaRaya's son who happens to pass Venkatanatha questions him that Oh!, looks like you have come for afternoon Bhiksha ! well since we need someone to take gandhA and aKshathE, since you look healthy and strong why don't you grind some for 50-60 people who have come here.

Venkanatha without a word accepts to work and as he starts taking gandhA (from the sandle stick), without his knowledge starts reciting Agni SukthA. Then after a while BheemaRaya's son pass by and says Oh! you learned Vedas too.. good.. and fails to recognise the power hidden behind the Suktha's. Later when all he Brahmins who were there for the Parasada applies the gandhA, immediately blister and skin starts burning beyond their tolerance. Then BheemaRaya calls his son and asks him what did you add to gandhA, then in shame Mukunda replies: I did not girnd the gandha (Sandle paste), then pointing out to Venkatanatha, he says I asked him to do it, I don't know what he add.

Then BheemaRaya pleads guilt on behalf his son and asks forgiveness, and asks who Venkatanatha was, then a older Brahmin seening Venkatanatha replies that he is the favourite disciple of Sri Sudheendra Tiirtha and we have commited a grave mistake by dishonouring Venkatnatha, and begs him to find a cure for the blisters on their body. Then Venkatanatha sits in a padhmAsana takes the gandha and mixes with the Tiirtha that was prepared and starts reciting VaruNa mantra. Later all of the sadHvaishnavas takes the pot and applies the gandha to their body, then their body cools off and blisters and rashes that had appeared. So Venkatanatha displays the strength and power in Veda Mantra's and by the grace of Sri Hari and Vayu, Venkatanatha displays an extrarodinary ambience at that very tender age.
