The Norwood company of the 4th Rifle Regiment was the brain child of its founder, Tim Audas. The uniform consists of a shako (with green plume, yellow cord, and brass plate), a green hunting frock with yellow trim, as well as a "belly box," white trousers, and a Harper's Ferry 1803 model rifle. In 2000, the unit was composed of one officer, and four other ranks. In 2002, the group was made up of Norwood DHS and Lakefield CS students, with additional support from a number of reenactors, who wore our extra rifle uniforms and gave the skirmish line more realistic volley fire. Always a hit, the 1st Rifle Regiment is noted for its unique appearance and fondness for looting.
