CANADIAN VOLTIGUERS

The Adam Scott contingent of Canadian Voltiguers was raised specifically for service at the 2000 Norwood Re-enactment. Students wishing to participate in this group had to be French-immersion students, or at least have some knowledge of the language. All orders were given in French, and the students were proficient in light infantry tactics. Students wore a grey jacket, pants, and a "bearskin" hat. Andrew Schroter, the unit's commander, wore a green dolman and trousers. The reaction to this unit was very positive, both from the students and the re-enactors who witnessed them in action.

In 2002 the unit was composed of recent high school graduates, from Adam Scott. Again they acquitted themselves well, valiantly fighting the American skirmishers in both afternoon battles.
