John Desha Esq Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky to all to whom these presents
shall come Greeting Know ye that by virtue and in consideration of a Kentucky Land office
warrant no 13425 there is granted by the said Commonwealth unto Charles Davis a certain
tract or parcel of land containing fifty acres by survey bearing date the seventh day of
August one thousand eight hundred and twenty four lying and being in the County of Madison
on the head waters of Silver Creek adjoining of William Bentleys survey of seven
hundred acres and of one hundred and twenty acres of said Davis survey of 50 acres
Moses Davis survey of seventy five acres Isaac Davis survey of one hundred
acres and Bounded as followeth to wit, Beginning as a large Black oak and poplar corner to
William Bentleys survey of seven hundred acres and in a line of the said Davis
fifty acres thence with a line of the seven hundred acre survey North sixty East forty poles
to a chesnut oak maple on said line thence North thirty five West forty poles to two sugartrees
thence South Eighty one West one hundred and twenty acre survey thence with his line
S30 West sixty poles to his corner two black oaks on a hill side thence with another of his lines
South twenty East sixty poles to two black oaks white oak and poplar to the head of a small
hollow thence with another of his lines South forty West ninety poles to a stake in Moses Davis
survey of seventy five acres thence with his line South fifty seven East twenty poles to a
stake his corner in Isaac Davis line of his one hundred acre survey thence with his line
North fifty eight East one hundred and forty poles to his corner a poplar on a hill side and
corner to his survey of two hundred acres thence with a line of the same North Eighty five
East forty eight poles to a white and his corner in said Bentleys survey of seven hundred
acres thence with a line of the same North nine West thirteen poles to a chesnut oak
corner to said Davis former survey of fifty acres thence with his line South Eighty
one West Eighty one and one half to his corner a black ash sapling thence North nine West ninety Eight poles to a
sugartree thence with another of Davis lines South nine East thirty and poles to the
Beginning With its appurtenances to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of Land with its
appurtenances to the said Charles Davis and his heirs forever In Witness whereof
the said Joseph Desha Esq Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky hath hereunto set his hand
and caused the seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed at Frankfort on the twenty first
day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and twenty five and the Commonwealth the
thirty third
