John Adair Esq Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky To all to whom these presents
shall come Greetings Know ye that by virtue and in consideration of a Kentucky
Land office warrant No.4411 there is granted by the said Commonwealth unto
Isaac Davis a certain tract or parcel of Land containing Fifty acres by survey
bearing date the twenty eighth day of May One thousand Eight hundred and Nineteen
Lying and being in the County of Madison on the waters of Clear Creek and bounded as
followeth To wit Begining at a Sugartree marked J.C. red oak Chesnut Oak Sourwood
and hickory in a line of Will Bentleys Seven hundred Acre Survey two hundred and sixty
poles Eastwardly from his large white oak corner on the Southwardly side of the road
(on a cliff), Thence with his line North Eighty five East sixty poles to a chesnut oak marked
J.C. near the Bear wallow in said Bentleys line thence South sixty poles
to a double poplar on a hill side thence South fifty three West Sixty poles to a
poplar on a hill side Thence North seventy eight West one hundred poles to a stake Thence
North fifty one East one hundred and eleven poles to the Beginning
with its apputenances to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land
with its appurtenances to the said Isaac Davis and his heirs forever In witness whereof the
said John Adair Esq Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky hath hereunto set his hand
and caused the seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed at Frankfort on the eighth day
of September In the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty and the
Commonwealth the twenty nineth
