To all to whom these presents shall come, Greeting:

KNOW YE, That by virtue and in consideration of two warrants from the Madison
County Court, there is granted by the said Commonwealth, unto Lewis Davis assee on part of John Hudson


a certain tract or parcel of Land, containing One hundred and [ninety]         Acres, by
survey, bearing date the 20th      day of March      one thousand eight hundred
and forty six            lying and being in the County of Madison
and bounded as followeth to wit Beginning at two white oaks one K.C. and the other L.D. on main Walkers branch of Big Clover Creek at the forks of said branch about 20 poles below the Basin Lick thence N41E46 poles to a pine and chesnut N12W30 poles to a chesnut and chesnut oak N32E90 poles to two chesnut oaks black oak and dogwood on the ___ ridge and path between said Walkers branch and ___ ___ fork of Bisen Lick Creek S53E54 poles to a chesnut oak and maple on a clift S20E42 poles to two black oaks and poplar one of the oaks marked K.C. S59W__ poles to a black oak S24W30 poles to two hickories S45E80 poles to two white oaks S10E62 poles to a large white oak on a branchs of Hooten S7W32 poles to a spanish oak and beech N82W44 poles to a white oak and gum 30 poles to a poplar and maple on a branch W96 poles to three chesnuts from one soot and pine S60W30 poles to a chesnut oak and gum on a ridge N60W70 polesto a black oak and two gums thence N18E128 poles to a gum and white oak N80E20 poles to the Beginning (Reg. 21st Oct 1848)
