John Adair Esq Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky To all to whom these presents shall come Greetings Know ye that by virtue and in consideration of a Kentucky Land office warrant No.7198 there is granted by the said Commonwealth unto Moses Davis a certain tract or parcel of Land containing seventy five acres by survey bearing the date the nineth day of November one thousand eight hundred and twenty one lying and being in the County of Madison on both sides of the Cafford [Cassold] Cane Road also on the head waters of Silver and Little Clear creeks and bounded as followeth (To wit) Beginning at a white oak Isaac Davis Beginning corner of his 100 acre survey also corner to Thomas Shelton on the west side of the above named road thence North 40 West one hundred and two poles to a white oak marked K.C. close by said road thence North 65 West sixty six poles to a black oak and chesnut oak thence North 15 East at forty six poles a white oak black oak and two chesnut oaks close by the aforesaid Road the same course continued 14 poles from said trees in all sixty poles to a stake thence South 57 East two hundred and thirty poles to a stake in the aforesaid Isaac Davis line of his 100 acre survey thence with said line South 58 West Eighty six poles to the Beginning with its apputenances to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with its appurtenances to the said Moses Davis and his heirs forever In witness whereof the said John Adair Esq Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky hath hereunto set his hand and caused the seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed at Frankfort on the sixth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and twenty two and the Commonwealth the thirty first
