I, Nancy Ellen Davis, of Berea, Madison County, Kentucky being of full age and of sound mind and memory do make publish and declare this to be my last will and testament, hereby revoking all wills by me heretofore made.

Item I: I direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid out of my estate as soon as practicable after the time of my decease.

Item II: All the property, real and personal of every kind and description wheresoever situate, which I may own or have the right to dispose of at the time of my decease, I give, bequeath and devise in equal shares (or one half each) to my two beloved children Winnie Roy and Egbert Davis, excepting, however from the clause the provisions in the following paragraph hereof, as item three

Item III: I will give and devise to my two grandchildren Lewis Davis and Edward Davis, children of Dr. L.A. Davis, deceased, the sum of one hundred ($100.00) dollars cash, to be paid to them in cash by my said executors promptly after my decease My reasons for not giving my said two granchildren more, is that my said children Winnie Roy and Egbert Davis, have kept and boarded me, and cared for me, and possess the very deepest love and affection for them. Besides the above reasons, my two said grand children are amply and well provided for financially. I give to my said son, Egbert Davis, all my furniture of every kind and description (excepting, that, which I hereafter mention and give to my daughter, Winnie Roy including, the book case filled with books now at his house. I give to my grand son, Egbert Lewis Davis, Jr. one feather bed and two nice pillows which I have prepared for him and my said executors will turn same over to him immediately, after my decease, or if he be not old enough to take care of them, his said father and mother will take care of them and give to him at the proper time. I give and devise to my said daughter Winnie Roy, my piano, serving machine and parlor chairs, and one marble top dresser, also all the rugs, bedding and quilts and all my personal clothing and jewelry, also the two book cases filled with books now at Cleveland, which belonged to my deceased daughter Ruth Davis Excepting, however, I direct my said daughter Winnie Roy to preserve my personal clothing and jewelry and to keep same to be given to my said grand daughter Nancy Bell Davis, daughter of my said son Egbert Davis. All other property both real and personal not specifically disposed of in this clause. I direct, give, will and devise in equal share to my said daughter and son, Winnie Roy and Egbert Davis as directed in the item two hereof.

Item IV: I make, nominate and appoint my said two children Winnie Roy and Egbert Davis, to be the executors of this, my last will and testament, and request that no bond be required of them as such. Should they, or either one of them fail to qualify then I amke and nominate John L. Gay, of Berea, Ky., to be the executor of this my last will and testament, tho should only one of my said children not qualify then I direct that the survivor qualify together with John L. Gay, the two acting. Dated at Berea, Madison County, Kentucky, this fourth (4th) day of June one thousand nine hundred and twenty three (1923)

At a county Court held in and for said County and State on the 6th day of April 1925. An instrument of writing purporting to be the last true will and testament of Nancy Ellen Davis deceased was produced to open Court read filed and offered for probabte when the same was proven by the oaths of Edu Fathergill and J.L. Gay who also proved the attestation of W.B. Walden an attesting witness who was absent from said probation that testatrix signed same in their presence and at her request they signed Same as attesting witnesses in testatrix presence and in the presence of each other. Ordered that said writing be probated and established as and for the last true will and testament of Nancy Ellen Davis deceased and be recorded as such which is now done accordingly.
