Most recently... Steve has been doing his Stand-up Comedy act at the newest comedy/jazz club "Night Moves". His act: "Sarcasm... At It's Finest" has the enlightened, gut-wrenched, tounge-in-cheek humor that one could only expect from someone who only wants to educate... as well as entertain an audience.
Steve has also started writing music again, with newly found friend Michelle Marley (The girl with a Golden Voice), and plans on shopping new demos around within the next month. ...And that's not all! Steve is also currently involved in forming a screen play, which will feature characters and stories that have influenced Steve's life.
The Millie Louis A.M.T.C. National Convention was a success!!! I placed nationally in 4 out of the 5 competitions I was involved in. (TV Commercial, Soap Opera, Stand-Up, and Cold Reading). I met and hung out with some really great and talented people, and spoke with quite a few agents. And took home lots of wood to hang on my "Wall of Wood." But the fun doesn't stop there... I'm still working with Merritt Model Management as a liason for Saks Fifth Avenue... As they kick off their saksfifthavenue.com campaign - where one (and a friend) can win a trip to Paris, during the 2nd annual Fashion Targets Breast Cancer Campaign. The event ends on October 31st.
And the Action Continues!!... In the Meantime... - Steven Grabo
For the rest of the month... I will be starting rehearsals and writing songs with my friend Mark Cartwright (AMI Records) - As well as holding auditions for Mark Cartwright's "Black Hat Band"... Which is scheduled to hit the road sometime in early 2001..
You can catch me at Durango's, in Beaufort, SC. Every Tuesday Night announcing all of the festivities and entertainment... and will also be the host/MC for the new comedy club "Night Moves", opening up in Beaufort in late October!!! So as you see, I'm still working for "That Steady Gig" in the sky.... Till Next Time! "I'll Catch Ya On The FLIP FLOP!"
