To a Rarely Seen Friend

I am sorry he has left us.
I was looking forward to seeing him again
To speaking to him again
Because he was he!
His real desire to know
Was always present in his eyes.
He had an insatiable curiosity
That reached the heart
For it wasn't idle curiosity.
It was heart-felt!
And came from his own ability
To communicate
To share
To fall in step, as it were,
With the heart facing his.
It was stimulating
Talking to him,
To Being "one" with your companion;
Yes, it was more than stimulating!
For his ego
Never interfered with yours
But supported it
Encouraged it
And brought it nearer
To that "perfection"
Striven to by all.
