Influence of the Human Population on Coliform Levels in the Rio Napo River Basin in Amazonian Equador. This benchmark research created microbiological data on the input levels of human fecal contamination from seven village sites, including downstream. Further analysis of coliform levels as the human population encroaches into the unsettled amazon basin can be compared to this data. Monitoring of these input levels, due to spontaneous colonization by human population, can be detrimental to rainforest ecology and sustainable development practices - No publication at this time.
