High Frequency Words
Grade one students love to play bingo. Using the sight words on the game cards helps the children to recognize and spell these high frequency words. We like to play several games on Friday afternoon, rewarding each winner with a sticker. Choose a game (e.g., one line accross, one line down, four corners, or an X) and have some fun.
Below you will find three bingo games that use the high frequency words from the ITP Nelson, 1999 reading series. Bingo One uses words from the Jump In and Swing In readers. Bingo Two uses words from the Slide In reader. Bingo Three uses words from Zoom In and Dive In. For each Bingo game, twelve different game sheets are available. You can order each set by clicking here.
