CONFERENCE 2001
IN FORNET-DESSUS, JURA
SWITZERLAND
21 - 28/07/2001
THEME: CONFLICTS
SECOND WEEK: TOUR DE LAC LEMAN 28/07 - 04/08/2001
THE SITE
Fornet-Dessus is a small village in the Jura, an area in the French speaking part of Switzerland. The area is at an altitude of 1000 m above sea level and is famous for its soft green hills (die Freiberge) and its many horses (die Freiberger).
The house we are going to stay in is at the edge of the village (noise emissions won't be a problem!).
THE PROGRAM
In the FIRST WEEK, we will have presentations, discussion and games, all to do with the theme. Further we will have our traditional events such as the Day-out on Wednesday, the American-auction or the Stuntnight.
In the SECOND WEEK, we will go on a bicycle tour along the French shore of the lake of Geneva. Don't worry, you won't have to cycle for hours each day. We will only do about 35 km every other day (to Geneva) with the option of additional tours for the "fit" on the days between the trips. The "less fit" can relax, go swimming or have a look at the villages and small towns where we will be staying.
In both weeks we will have time to be together, have discussions, meet old and new friends and have a good time.
