OBITUARY: "OPAL LILES...Ottumwa - Opal Elizabeth Liles, 76, of Eldon, Route 1, died at 6:30 p.m. February 21, 1990, at Bloomfield Care Center. She was born April 24, 1913 in Davis County to Albert and Annabelle Lynch Shaffer. She married
Dewight Liles on July 31, 1931, in Salt Creek Twp. She is survived by four daughters, Julia Saner of Douds, Carolyun Jones of Floris, Donna Hill of Chillicothe and Connie Simmer of Ottumwa; 17grandchildren' 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers,
Richard Shaffer of Tracy, Calif. and Robert Shaffer of Livermore, Calif.; and a sister, Muriel Dowell of Tracy, Calif. She was preceded in death by infant son, three grandchildren and a sister. The body has been cremated. No visitation is
planned. A memorial service will be held at Shrine of Memories Funeral Home in Ottumwa at a later date. Memorials may be made to Bloomfield Care Center."
