(Summers, p. 79): At a Court held for Botetourt Co., VA on 5/8/1770 -"Ordered that Abraham Brown, Peter Wallace, John Paxton, Richard Woods & John Bowyer or any three of them do view the way around the Poplar Hills from John Paxton's to
Buffaloe Creek and report the conveniences to the next court."

(Summers, p. 100): John Stewart [Plff] vs Samuel McRoberts [Deft] - listed among the jurors in this case.
(Summers, p. 168): Abraham Brown [plff] agst. Peter Allison [Deft] - in Trespass. This day came the parties by their attornies & thereupon came also a jury, towit: Thomas Rowland, Hugh Means, Samuel Linsay, Caleb Worley, Henry Smith, James
Mitchell, William Williams, Jacob Simmons, John Sproul, Alexander Collier, Thomas Wilson and Silas Reynolds, who retd. a verdt. in favor of the deft. as the plff was solemnly called but came not and was nonsuited. Judgt that the deft. recover
agst the plaintiff five shillingsand his costs."

(Summers, p. 550): "1773, Oct. 30, Brown, Abraham & Margaret his wife [grantor], Elder Matthew [grantee], 482 acres in Forks of James".

(Summers, p. 613): At Court held for Fincastle Co., VA 11/3/1773..."AbrahamBrown produced a Certificate for one thousand one hundred and fifty sixpounds of Winter Rotted and haveing made oath thereto according to Law It is ordered to be
certified to his Excellency the Governor."
(Summers, p. 810): At Court continued and held for Montgomery County, VA11/23/1785..."Margaret Brown, John Taylor and Cornelius ____ appointed exors. of estate of Abram Brown, Decd." on 2/28/1786.

(Summers, p. 944), Montgomery Co., VA..."Abraham Brown. His estate to his wife, Margaret, his sons, Abraham Brown, Jr., Robert Brown, Peter Brown, Cornelius Brown, James Brown, his daughter Elizabeth. Witnesses, JohnTaylor, Robert Birdwell,
William Robinson. Will dated Dec. 22, 1784, date of probation not given."
