(PETTY, WRIGHT...p. 266): Joshua moved with his family to Mercer Co., KY, later moving to Perche Twp. (Boone), MO., and went to Smithton (later Columbia) in 1818. He obtained his farm on 2 land patents, one signed by Pres. Jefferson (or a
clerk) and one by Pres. J. Quincy Adams (or a clerk).The farm is 12 miles from Columbia, 14 miles from Rockeport, 16 miles from Sturgeon, and 5 miles south of Harrisburg, all in Boone co., MO. Joshua Alexander served on the first Grand Jury in
Boone Co., MO.

WILL (PETTY, WRIGHT, etc...p. 266): Will 2229, Boone Co., MO. in probated 4Feb. 1867; final settlement 11 July 1871. John R. Roberts & Adeline Alexander, administrators. Names widow Adaline; James H. Alexander; Elizabeth Seymore's children:
