So thought the newly ascended goddess man called Granas. Physics and Metaphysics had melted in the Birthplace of the Gods, granting the Power of Creation unto a woman, becoming goddess. Little did she know that another god, Valmar, would come after her. But before that happened, Granas lived in peace, and brought the Days of Marvels in the Silvery White Light Age.

Since man created god in his own image, Granas, like Zeus, had love, and sex. Life is Will to Power; life reproduces and expands, and a child was born.

A thousand years later, a girl inherited the Power to make the world, the very proof of this love. The extent of her power was hidden, but her inner consciousness was able to use it through strong will. This girl is Elena.

A piece of Valmar is capable of transforming one's self into another, multiplying the Darkness within us, and normally leading us to destruction. This happened to Gadan, to Aira, and to Melfice, and this would happen to most humans acquiring it. But this was not the case of Elena.

Through her strong determination to not become infected by Darkness, Elena released her other own. Someone to feed the Wings of Valmar with. A collection of her long repressed desires and feelings, which took physical existence thanks to the power of Granas within her. This girl is Millenia. She and Elena are the two faces of the same coin, two physical manifestations of the same existence.

But the Wings were retired from her, and Millenia died. Soon after, Elena not only was able to bring her back to life, with the same appearance and powers, and without the Valmar part involved in her creation, but she also gave her a separate body which coexists with her own at the same time. Were she not a Granas descendant, this would have been a miracle.

Millenia, well aware of this fact, made it clear to Elena that she knew it, after her resurrection, and after defeating the Will of Valmar. She also demanded for Elena to create wings of her own, so they could fly back to their home along with Ryudo.

This is, without a doubt, the easiest and most consistent explanation for all the events that unfold in Grandia II, from Millenia's birth and rebirth, to the angelical wings, without assuming any esoterical representation of Elena's personality, and without adding any magic different from what we saw in the game. This is the only theory that explains why is Elena so special, without relying on the fact that she is special. Whether you think this is truth of lie is up to you.
