Drinking Game


For the true fan, and assuming you are of legal drinking age, here is a delightfully hysterical, vomit-inducing way to celebrate all that is goofy about the series. (You can also play with non-alcoholic beverages; instead of getting drunk, you will simply have to run to the bathroom a lot.) In the following list, I may have missed some items, so email me at granamyr@yahoo.com and let me know.

For the following items, take one sip of your chosen poison.

The Starsword sound effect
Blackstar makes some inane, wildly inappropriate Earth reference
Klone makes a transformation
The episode opens with a generic rainbow-and-flying-geese shot of the Sagar Tree
Any blatant use of stock footage
The soundtrack goes into the Main Theme
A character is brainwashed and placed under mind control
Blackstar makes a move on some scantily-clad alien babe
Stock footage of the Trobbits sliding down a ladder, running, etc.
Mara casts a spell, feels weak and just can't...hold...on...any...longer
The Overlord cooks up yet another incredibly convoluted plan to get the Starsword
Any stock footage of Blackstar
The Trobbits fuck up yet another rescue attempt
Any stock footage of Warlock diving and swooping
The Starsword misses its target
Blackstar loses the Starsword, gets it knocked from his hand, etc.

For each of the following items, take TWO sips of your chosen poison:


Blackstar and the Overlord engage in some macho bullshit swordfighting
The Overlord attempts to insult Blackstar by calling him a rebel, outworlder, etc.
Balkar reads aloud from his spellbook in badly rhyming couplets
Blackstar gets brainwashed
A joke is made at Rif's expense
Poulo whistles
An evil version of a good guy appears (Evil Klone and Blackstar's double in "Tree of Evil," the Zombie Mara in "The Zombie Master," etc.)
Blackstar gets his ass kicked by the babe he's trying to score with
Some new use is found for the Starsword
Blackstar does battle with a character that later turns out to be a good guy
The Vizir makes an appearance
Any episode in which Warlock does not appear
The episode ends with a really lame joke that makes everyone laugh far more than is appropriate
Blackstar goes on a roll with a series of puns on the same subject (time in "Lord of Time," etc.)

For each of the following items, take THREE sips of your chosen poison


Stock footage of Mara's eyes in full trance mode
The Overlord chews out one of his minions
A villain gets hold of the Starsword/Powersword and tries to use it
The Trobbits are entrusted with some important object and manage to lose it
The Overlord is attacked by one of his own minions
Blackstar actually has something halfway intelligent to say
The Overlord gets hold of the Starsword and tries to rejoin the Powerstar
Blackstar rescues the Overlord and together they do battle against a common foe

If the following events occur, please stop drinking and seek professional help,
because you've been watching far too long

The Overlord gets lucky
Blackstar makes a pass at any or all of the Trobbits
Warlock burns or mauls someone to death
The babe-of-the-week decides she'd rather go out with that manly hunk of shapeshifter, Klone
The Trobbits sell the Sagar Tree to Ernie Keebler (submitted by PrezGAR)
Balkar actually has all of the ingredients he needs for his spell
One of the Trobbits whacks the Sagar Tree with an axe and yells "Timber!"
Mara decides it's time to have Blackstar neutered
The Overlord gets a dose of the Christmas Spirit and decides maybe Blackstar isn't such a bad guy after all
We actually find out what happened to Blackstar's ship and how he managed to screw it up so badly
Blackstar raises the Starsword and shouts "By the Power of Grayskull!"
The Vizir redecorates the Ice Castle in a tasteful hot pink chiffon
Lou Scheimer makes a guest appearance as a minion of the Overlord
Klone ditches the orange suit in favor of black leather and start talking with a deep, manly voice
The Obligatory Musical Episode, with the Overlord and the Demonettes singing "Bad to the Bone"
