You have to relocate the relays in the front bumper, i found that mounting the on the upper railing took care of the problem, they are also now more readily availible |
My $150 FMIC install |
You will also have to relocate your coil and you will have to relocate your battery, notice how the far enge of the battery tray is trimmed, the battery tray stays in the same spot but the battery rests against the fenderwell somewhat. you don't need a super small battery, just not a huge ass one |

now comes the part we all dread...taking our beloved 7 under the knife!! there are only 2 small holes needed in the ic install, i used a large drill bit and a sawzall to cut the holes, i then used door mounlding from a volvo to line the edges, the pipes will rub on them so this way no holes will form |
This is the passenger side cut....a lot less work, i recomend doing this cut first. |
THIS IS THE ONLY WAY THAT THE STARION IC WILL WORK!!! you must have the 2 existing starion rubber hoses for this project(well, at least this one) it is a perfect perfect perfect fit and will take some more jiggling to get right. do not cut too much off!! |
Your IC should look EXACALLY like this b4 installation. on the drivers side is the starion 90 degree bend and a short extension. |
This is the pipe that connects the turbo to the inlet of the IC, it is part of the starion ic and must be cut EXACALLY like this or it will not fit. |
more to come....these pages take a bit to get going, i will incluse much more detailed instructions and about 15-20 more pics. please leave feedback in the guestbook. |
