| The Boerstler family came to the United States from Germany at the time of the Palatine migration. Members of the Moravian church, they settled in Northampton County, Pennsylvania. Johannes Boerstler (or Burstler) traveled to North Carolina for a period of time to work at Wachovia which was just being established but returned after several years to Pennsylvania. Eventually the family moved to Summit County, Ohio. Many of the family members are buried in the Loyal Oak cemetery at Norton, Ohio. |
