        There is a notation of a  purchase  of  land  by  Wm.  CRAWFORD
  for $1200.00 from James Hall, Elihu Hall, and Elizabeth Hall, wife
  of James.   dated 10-4-1821

  Deed Book D  p 162
        This indenture made this 11th day  Feb.  1814  between  Benj.
  Clark of the Co. of Nicholas commonwealth  of  Ky.  of  the  one  part
  and David Morgan of the Co. of Bourbon  commonwealth aforesaid
  of the other part:  WITNESSES:  That for consideration of the sum
  of $50.00 in hand before the sealing and delivery of these presents
  the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and  and every part and
  parcel therefore  hath  by  these  presents  granted,  bargained,  and
  sold and by these  presents  does  grant,  bargain,  sell  and  convey
  unto said David Morgan one certain tract or  parcel  of  land  lying
  and being in the co. of  Nicholas  state  also  and  on  the  waters  of
  Beaver Creek, being a part of a 16,000 acre survey entered and
  patented in the name  of  Charles  Welling  and  including  the  place
  on which Wm. Mitchell now lives and to be taken off the lower
  end of the 80 A. survey on which  said  Clark  now  lives  and  to  be
  an equal undivided moneys of said survey land of in such a way as
  to extend from one side to  the  other  of  crops  said  creek  oblong
  square said land having been  conveyed  from  George  Taylor  to  said
  Clark by  deed  bearing  date  16th  July  1813.  Description  follows
  of the 80 A.  of  land.

         This deed   made this 4th day Oct.  1819 between Humphery
  Marshall and his wife Anna Mariah Marshall of the one
  part and Reese Morgan of the other part;  Witness  The said
  Marshall and his wife do and for an consideration of $80 to
  them in hand paid by said Morgan at or before the sealing of
  these presents receipt of which  is  hereby  acknowledged,  etc...
  baragin sell and confirm the sale  to  Reese  Morgan  and  his  heirs
   ... certain parcel of land lying in the co . of Nicholas
  containing 9 A. more or less,     Recorder 9-23-1822.

  Deed Book I
         This indenture made the 2nd  March  1832  between  Reese
  Morgan and Lucretia his wife of the co. of Vigo State of Ind.
  of the one part and Mitchell Dazey co.  of  Nicholas  state  of  Ky.
  of the other part:  Witnesses:      That the said Reese Morgan
  and wife for and in consideratinn  of  the  sum  of  $1800.00  to
  them in hand paid the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge
  have granted bargained  and  sold  and  by  these  presents  do  grant
  bargain sell convey and confirm unto the said Mitchell Dazey
  his heirs and  assignees  forever  the  following  tracts  or  parcels
  of land lying and situated  in  the  co.  of  Nicholas  aforesaid
  on the waters of McBrides Creek and bounded as following
  to wit: description follows of the  93  3/4  A.  of  land  which
  he had purchased from Thomas Jones as well as the smaller
  tract of 9 A. which he  had  purchased  from  Humphrey  Marshall
  (I have omitted the legal desc. of these lands.  But the deed
  is signed  Reese(his x mark) and Lucretia (her x mark).
