At St. Patrick's church in Villa Nova, a matrimonial event of much
interest took place Tuesday morning. The chief contracting parties were
Mr. Thomas L. Shannon and Miss Anna Farrell. The bride was attended by
Miss Mollie McGarry and Mr. J. E. Shannon acted as best man.

At 9:30 o'clock the ceremony was performed by Rev. Father Kiernan in the
presence of a large number of invited friends and relatives, at the
conclusion of which all repaired to the home of the bride where a
  sumptuous wedding supper was served.

The esteem in which Mr. and Mrs. Shannon are held was attested by
numerous and costly gifts presented to them. Both bride and groom are
well known in this vicinity and that goodness and prosperity will follow
them all through life is the wish of their many friends.
