Edward J. Lucey came to Carroll in 1878 or 1879 and was a partner with
George Micka in General Merchandise. Later Ed was a
blacksmith with Charles Hamilton and later with Henry Wegner.
In the Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Carroll, there is
a large stone that says Lucey on it and six headstones with no dates
but which said Father, Mother, Julia, John, Jerry, Margaret.
This seems to be Edward and his family.
