IMPORTANT
GRAND
VISTA CONDOMINIUM OWNERS
Fellow Neighbor,
Were you aware that
as an owner of a condominium unit in this State, you are legally a part of
a not for profit corporation? As
part of a corporation, you have many rights and liabilities. You have the right to participate in board meetings.
You have the right to be informed of all decisions affecting the
welfare of your community. You have the right to elect members of a board and just as
importantly, you have the right to petition to remove those members from
office if they are not meeting their obligations.
WHAT
HAVE YOU PERSONALLY DONE FOR THE COMMUNITY?
As a member of the corporation, you have the right and
obligation to make sure your contribution is spent appropriately.
A group of
neighbors at Grand Vista have decided to compose of a special committee
designed to work in conjunction with the Board of Directors and the
property management. We
encourage you to be a part of this committee.
This special
committee shall be responsible for:
1.)
Developing written standards and procedures for the association,
2.)
Reviewing the income and expenses and performing financial audits,
3.)
Making sure the Board and the Association is meeting State statutes
and pertinent bylaws and regulations,
4.)
Mediating situations that may arise between board and members,
5.)
Distributing and making information public,
6.)
Encouraging member participation,
7.)
Handling complaints and eliminating the circulation of rumors,
8.)
Representing the “majority vote and consensus” of the
Association.
A petition will be circulating shortly asking for your
involvement and approval in creating this committee. PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION AND BECOME A PART OF THE UNIFIED AND
REFORMED GRAND VISTA COMMITTEE.
Sincerely,
Your Committee Action Team
