Why I love HTML
Put simply,HTML rules and plain text sucks.
The prefix "hyper" is a fitting indicator of the degree with
which hypertext documents outshine plain text. You can do so much more
with hypertext. In fact, I write everything of consequence
in hypertext now. Below are some of the kool things about hypertext.
Hypertext documents allow easy, more foolproof links to be made to other
documents than a plain text referance.
A good hypertext document emailed to a friend can torque louder than
a card. For example,I sent a get-happy birthday hdoc (Hypertext DOCument)
to a friend of mine and she cried tears of joy and cheered up immediately.
It's as easy to create a simple hdoc as it is to create, say,a Microsoft
Word document. Just do as I and use the almost WYSIWUG Netscape editors
,such as the one built into Netscape Navigator 3.0 or Communicator 4.0beta2
(works for me).
It is more natural to write a hdoc than a text file because you have much
more control over your creation. If you want the text to be black on blue
rather than black on white, you can. If you want those who experience your
page to hear your favourite song's intro, you can. The power which
hypertext gives you is awesome in comparison to pathetic -um,I mean plain-text.
