Before I begin the analysis, I want to tell you all a story about something that happened in newspaper one day.  Mrs. Wilderman was going over the applicants for the next year's staff and was asking what we thought of them, were they responsible, could they write, etc.  She called off Brandie's name and everyone automatically said "She is sooooooooooooooo sweet, Mrs. Wilderman,"  and so the moral of the story is that Brandie is really really really really sweet, and with that:

What Brandie's handwriting says about
her:

A's- Brandie is open-minded and sensitive, but not so sensitive that she can't take criticism.  She can be very calm and deal with her problems in a level-headed manner.

B's- Brandie is willing to work hard and puts a tremendous effort  into everything (especially getting Mrs. Collins' Sunshine Award).  She also expects to be taken seriously and can be strong and defiant if it means getting respect.

C's- Brandie is very inquisitive and eager to find out any bit of new information she can.  She'll listen to any old detail, so long as she's not out of the loop.

D's- Brandie is approachable and slow to anger because she likes to be liked.  She has a good nature and is really smiley and happy and we all love her.

E's- Brandie has a good sense of humor and can take a joke, even if that means laughing at herself.  She's also prone to spontaneous self-expression, and believes that anything is possible for those who try.

F's- Brandie expresses her thoughts and ideas clearly and expects for them to be taken seriously.  She has no problem with saying what needs to be said and speaking with genuine concern.  She is solid and dependable and listens thoroughly before making judgements.

G's- Brandie can be agressive and competitive because she fears being ignored or not taken seriously.  She's also spontaneous and open to anything.  She likes to break out of the usual rut.

H's- Brandie is happy with the world and has uncomplicated views concerning it.  She prefers to be happy with what she has rather than preoccupied with what she doesn't.

I's- Brandie is extremely independent.  She has clear thoughts and makes firm decisions, which she believes in enough to defend.

K's- Brandie uses her charm and charisma to get by and is very aware of her own powers of persuasion.

N's- Brandie is private about some things and doesn't give too much away.  She has depth and insight, but nobody sees it until they get to know her.

O's- Brandie is sensitive, open, accessible and generous.  She has a kind and caring side, which she shows in lots of little heartfelt gestures like bringing tea for Rahab.

P's- Brandie is confident and has a positive attitude that helps her make it through hard times, like the days when I don't bring Rahab to school.  Her optimistic nature makes her really good to have around.

R's- Brandie has a natural curiosity and is usually aware of what's going on.  So watch it, because you never know when she may remember something really really really embarassing about you.

S's- Brandie is easygoing when it comes to dealing with problems.  She thinks a problem over completely and takes positive action towards solving it.  She never does something too slowly or hastily, but waits for the right moment to make her move.

U's- Brandie's our little social butterfly.  She likes to have fun with others and gets pleasure from all types of social experiences. (i.e. KAREOKE!)

W's- Brandie is a winner!  She likes to be the best and to be recognized.  She is willing to work hard, but she wants to be rewarded for her efforts.

Y's- Brandie is very responsible and handles her duties calmly, even under a lot of pressure.  She makes deadlines and pays bills on time, and is happy to be part of the group of hard-working Americans who make this country great.

People who like blue are thoughtful, caring, very mellow, unpretentious, nonjudgemental, good listeners, orderly, calm, cautious, tactful, loyal, patient, dependable, collected, stable, reliable, laid-back, serene, relaxed, and tend to be cute little Juniors.

Brandie is Old English for
from lighted hill. It rhymes with Andy, bandy, candy, dandy, handy, pandy, randy, sandhi, sandy, shandy, jim-dandy, unhandy, Rio Grande, and modus operandi.

And now, since I'm so good and kind-hearted, I give you the words to "Brandy" by Looking Glass.

There's a port on a western bay
And it serves a hundred ships a day
Lonely sailors pass the time away
And talk about their homes

There's a girl in this harbor town
And she works laying whiskey down
They say, "Brandy, fetch another round"
She serves them whiskey and wine

The sailors say:
"Brandy, you're a fine girl
(You're a fine girl)
What a good wife you would be
(Such a fine girl)
Your eyes could steal a sailor from the sea."

Brandy wears a braided chain
Made of finest silver from the north of Spain
A locket that bears the name of the man that Brandy loves
He came on a summer's day
Bearing gifts from far away
But he made it clear he couldn't stay
The harbor was his home

The sailor said:
"Brandy, you're a fine girl
(You're a fine girl)
What a good wife you would be
(Such a fine girl)
But my life, my love, and my lady, is the sea."

Brandy used to watch his eyes
As he told his sailor stories
She could feel the ocean fall and rise
She saw its raging glory
But he had always told the truth
[Gee golly,] he was an honest man
And Brandy does her best to understand

At night when the bars close down
Brandy walks through a silent town
And loves a man who's not around
She still can hear him say

She hears him say.................

I'd type the chorus again, but you know, all the constant sobbing would make it impossible.
