The Truth About Pop Music

What is the truth about pop music?...well apart from being the worst kind of music you can hear, the other shocking truth about it is.......those who actually write the songs never get the credit they deserve!!!.
OK, now where to begin, now a lot of people always think think that popstars put a lot of effort into the songs that they peform and release as singles so everyone can listen to them, well the truth is that those popstars never ever say that it was the songwriter repsonible for it (I mean come on!!, what popstars these days wants to admit that they can't really write a song!!, that would ruin their reputation!!!).
That's right the only people who actually put some effort into pop music are the songwriters, and yet why don't most people know this?, it's because the record companies always treat them like second hand merchandise, can't write a good pop song anymore, no problem you just get rid of that writer and get an even better one to takr he/she's place. That is what songwriters of pop music are to both their record companies and the popstars. It's the sad truth, but it needs to be said.

Please note that this is being written by someone who really hates pop music and may be going over the top when it comes to this sort of thing. It's becuase, I used to like pop music, now I'm not saying I reallt liked it, I just didn't mind it and it was only until I relised how bad it really was I then swicthed to rock music, even since then rock music is my preferred choice of music, accept no imitations, rock music rules!!!

However some people tell me that even some rock bands are pop music, however they also say that they are a different type of pop music, I don't even know what to make of it, I mean a rock group being also related to pop music!?!, it sounds crazy, no rock group I know of would ever dabble with pop music (would they?). Just because it enters the music charts does not automatically make it pop music, I mean rock groups need some chart success

Anyway as I have pointed out, I don't like pop music even though just about everyone does like it, it's just that more people like pop music than rock music and they think that pop music is the greatest thing ever, well rock music is one of the greatest things ever, I mean rock music has a history as I have pointed out on this website
