Wrestling

Another interest of mine is wrestling, now I know that it is faked and that a lot more interesting stuff goes on behind the scenes than in the ring. But wrestling has become one of the most entertaining sports ever. I mean where else can you see men in tight spandex clothing beating each other up and then talking trash to each other after the match (or before), I mean it's good to watch. What is wrestling anyway?, incase you don't know it involves 2 people in a ring beating each other up and then when one of them is down the other one pins his opponent and then after a 3 count by the reffere the wrestler who is able to successfuly pin his opponent is the winner. "Face" and "Heel" are used to describe if a wrestler is either loved or hated by the fans, "face" means that a wrestler is loved by the fans and is cheered whenever he/she enters the arena, a "heel" means that a wrestler is hated by the fans and is always booed by the fans, a "heel" will often cheat his/her way to victory in a match and will often badmouth the fans.

The most popular wrestling organisation is the WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment), which had remained popular despite competition from it's biggest rival WCW (World Championship Wrestling). The WCW is no longer around as it was bought up by the WWE along with ECW (Extreme Championship Wrestling). There is also the WWA, a fairly new organisation which is yet to make it big, and there is the NWA-TNA which is currently getting more popular
