Computer Aided Drafting using Mechanical Desktop

Module No. 7771AK (Drafting Integrated Project) - Course No 9993

Course Aim:  To introduce students to “parametric 3D solid modelling”, using Mechanical Desktop.  The course currently uses Mechanical Desktop 5.0, from Autodesk and runs within AutoCAD 2000/2002.

Students must be proficient with AutoCAD common commands such as line, circle, arc, polyline, move, erase, grips etc.

Qualification:  Statement of Attainment

Duration:  4 hours per week for 18 weeks

Attendance:  Part time day or evening

Note: No pre-application is required.  You should attend the college during the advertised enrolment period.

Entry Requirements:  8264M Engineering Drawing Interpretation or equivalent plus a knowledge of basic AutoCAD commands

This course has minimum grouping requirements.
