MANUFACTURING & ENGINEERING
Course Aim: This course is for people who have been working in the relevant engineering trades and want to work as mechanical or manufacturing engineering technicians. You will improve your skills in areas such as manual and computer aided drafting; thermodynamics and fluid mechanics; strength of materials and introductory aspects of mechanical design. Learn manufacturing management, planning, layout, costing, scheduling and quality skills. Modules can be selected to suit specialist areas of engineering.
Career Opportunities: When you finish this course you can apply for technician positions in mechanical or manufacturing engineering and related fields consistent with your chosen modules.
Articulation: You will receive advanced standing in the Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering Advanced Diploma Course 9887 and may receive advanced standing in other courses with common modules

Qualification: Diploma
Duration: 540 hours (7.5 hours per week for 2 years)
Attendance: Part time day and/or evening
Entry Requirements: Engineering Trade Certificate or Engineering Production Certificate Level 3.
Course Content Modules:
Minimum of 15 modules (540 hours); Your choice of modules must include the following:
Minimum of 1 communication module
Minimum of 8 Diploma Level modules
Maximum of 6 Trade and/or EPC modules
This course has minimum grouping requirements.
To obtain the Advanced Diploma in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering Course No 9887, you need to only complete an additional 15 modules.
