MANUFACTURING AND QUALITY MANAGEMENT
Course Aim:
This program is for people who work in the Manufacturing and Engineering industries and who want to complete any one or more nationally recognised modules at technician level, when a full course is not available or appropriate. You can choose from modules that deal with a range of skills which are useful in a wide variety of manufacturing, supervisory, quality and service areas. These modules are nationally recognised. After the completion of one or more modules you will receive a Statement of Attainment in the areas of your study. When you finish one or more modules, you can apply for advanced standing in courses that have the same modules.Course Content: A wide range of electives are available for study from the Manufacturing and Engineering Module Bank. You should choose one or more modules from Group 5 and/or or Group 6 which relate to manufacturing or quality systems.
Course Duration: 18 hours minimum (1 hours a week for 18 weeks or 2 hours a week for 9 weeks) and 180 hours maximum.
Attendance: Part time, day and/or evening.
Note: No pre-application is required. You should attend the college during the advertised enrolment period.
Entry Requirements: There are no formal educational requirements for this training program. For some modules you must have specific skills before commencement.
Articulation: When you finish modules from this training program you can get advanced standing for those modules in other courses in the Manufacturing and Engineering area.
Career Opportunities: Modules in this training program are recognised as counting towards career progression in the Manufacturing and Engineering Industry.
