Costuming
This is my favorite part of behind the scenes work. I often play around with my own designs. I am a big medieval & Renaissance buff, so there will be quite a few links pertaining to that period of clothes.
The Costume Page - This site has many resources for both costume history and how to make costumes.
Lynch's Theater Department Store - Here is a site where you can buy all the odds and ends you will ever need for your costumes. It has clown stuff, trims, makeup, and costumes!
Ballet Costume.com - Here is a site for buying ballet attire
The Elizabethan Costuming Page - everything you need to know about Elizabethan period clothes.
White Pavillion - If you are looking for authentic Renaissance clothes, I suggest you take a look at the selection they have to offer. The clothing is quite pricey, but to get authenticy and quality you have to pay more.
The Clothing Shoppe - Here is another great resource for Renaissance/Elizabethan era clothes. This site give the history behind the clothes and provides examples of the clothes. They also have links to other historical clothing sites.
Soon I will have some of my own designs up for dancing costumes and period costumes. Come back and check it out!
