Your eyes open slowly, straining to adjust to the light. You don't recognize your surroundings as anything earthly. A cell. No windows. Smooth red walls curve at the top and morph into the ceiling. The floor is white and gives a clinical feel. Ten cubes in red, plastic like material as the walls and ceiling that run the length of the space. You blink and catch a something moving out of the corner of your eye. Was it one of the cubes? It was only a twitch but you are sure one moved. Then suddenly they all move. Not very fast, but they are scuttling or spinning, hovering just above the floor, what is going on?
This intergalactic space is the 'retail compression chamber', a sort of preparation cell designed to acclimatize visitors before they enter the actual store. You are experiencing shopping in the 21st Century.
