JERRY “THE KING LAWLER”: That six man tag match was one awesome match JR. What do you think we can expect in the Womens’ title match? JIM ROSS: Well King, I think its gonna be a tough one. Kirsty Walker and Mercedes Johnson are two real battle-axes when they get mad, and they have reason to be mad at each other right now. The Women’s Championship title is on the line here. JL: It wasn’t Kirsty’s fault she lost the match last time though JR. Valhella Dracul did some appalling refereeing and a fast three count lost Kirsty the match. JR: I reckon if those two girls could get their hands on Val right now, she’d be straight back in the hospital again. The ring announcer announces the match, and informs the crowd that the woman left standing at the end of the match after pinning her opponent will be officially crowned WMRF Women’s Champion. Videos of classic cars appear on the video wall and Life’s Been Good by Joe Walsh hits the speakers. Mercedes Johnson glides to the ring wearing a sparkly gold gown trimmed with white fur and tied at the waist. As she slips off the belt of the gown and throws it into the crowd, she polishes the Womens’ Championship belt and hands it to referee Lenny London. She goes to each ringpost in turn and waits for the cheers of the crowd, the thumping drum beats changes to Love is Like a Butterfly by Dolly Parton and Kirsty Walker skips to the ring, blowing bubbles as she goes, and carrying a pink helium balloon which matches her frilly pink dress and the ribbons in her hair perfectly. Lenny London talks to each of the women before signalling to the time keeper to ring the bell and start the match. Kirsty gets in early blows and staggers Mercedes back to the corner of the ring. She pounds her head as the crowd counts 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10 and then drags Merc into the centre of the ring to lock on an armlock. Mercedes struggles free and does an Irish whip, sending Kirsty into the ring post. Kirsty Walker is winded but recovers quickly enough to pull a handful of Mercedes hair and throw her into the centre of the ring. She attempts to lock on The Butterfly, a double chicken wing normally impossible to escape. Mercedes manages to free herself with a low blow to Kirsty, and executes a perfect and powerful suplex, sending Kirsty over the top rope and onto the concrete floor below. As she lies motionless, Mercedes unfastens the corner cushion of the ring exposing the bare steel. Jumping over the top rope herself, she grabs Walker, and drags her back inside the ring, and throws her into the exposed ringpost. Kirsty swings round and drives Mercedes head into the post instead, again and again, until Merc is bleeding and dazed, but still determined to win the match up. She sends Kirsty flying with a hard right punch and as she moves over to attempt her patented move, The ElectraGlide, a form of figure four leglock, the lights in the arena go out again. JL: What’s happening JR? The lights are out more than they’re on tonight! JR: I don’t know exactly what’s happening King, but hopefully we’ll find out soon. JL: We’re about to find out right now JR! Isn’t that Mistress Demonica? The masked Mistress Demonica runs to the ring, her blonde hair flowing behind her, and the action inside the ring comes to a halt as she taunts Kirsty and Mercedes until they get mad and climb out of the ring to attack her. As they move towards her, she grabs the steel steps and nails both women with them. The sickening thud of steel on bone, and both Mercedes and Kirsty are totally out of it. Mistress Demonica continues to punish both women in turn, with the ball bats from the previous matches, as well as the time keepers bell and a couple if monitors. Not satisfied with the beating, she grabs a step ladder and sandwiches both competitors in it, leaping on top of them three times, damaging her own shoulder in the process. She struggles and picks up Kirsty Walker and hauls her into the centre of the ring, lying her against the corner of the ring, then goes back out to fetch Mercedes Johnson, lying her over Kirsty. JL: What’s she doing JR? Its not even her match up - hell, she’s not even officially signed up with the WMRF yet! JR: It looks like she’s only here to attack Kirsty and Mercedes. Oh no, she’s climbing up to the top rope King, I can’t watch. JL: Looks like a car wreck out there. After a couple of big elbows and a few moonsaults off the top rope, Mistress Demonica covers both women, and Lenny London counts a three count, giving the victory to Mistress Demonica. As the crowd boo and hiss, the paramedics are called in for Walker and Johnson, and the new Women’s Champion is handed the belt. As she reaches the top of the entrance slope, she pauses, the lights suddenly go red, and Welcome to my Nightmare by Alice Cooper blasts from the speakers. JR: I recognise that entrance theme King, isn’t it the music of... JL: Valhella Dracul. Wait a minute - that can’t be her, she’s... Mistress Demonica whips off her black mask and blonde wig and reveals herself to be Valhella Dracul. She grins an evil grin and yells "HAPPY HARDCORE HOLIDAYS EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!" before vanishing from sight to the locker room. JL: Well JR, we always say anything can happen in the WMRF, and it usually does. But what do you make of tonight’s turn of events? JR: I don’t really know King, I’m in a daze. I really thought no-one knew the whereabouts of Valhella, and here she is tonight as if she’s never been away. JL: True JR, but like it or not, we do have a new Women’s Champion. |
