february 26, 2001 i watched sunset strip with a friend. let's put it this way...we laughed at the movie the whole way through at it's cheesy scenes, it's unrealistic characters, the fact that we still couldn't figure out what the point of the whole story was...hmmmm...still giving that one some thought but the real funny thing is the fact that everyone knows this will be a movie that i will purchase! it involves the 70's, music, drugs, jerod leto in a cowboy hat and rory cochrane is in it! asking for a story, well i guess that's too much but i'll still take this one. went to see saving silverman in the theatre a while ago. i only paid the cheap fare so in retro spec it was worth it. the funniest scene in the whole movie was the performance of the neil diamond cover band. pissed my pants at the visual folks. i did however expect jack black too be funnier in it, but steve zahn picked up where jack left off so all in all it was pretty funny. my final thoughts i proabably would stick to seeing it on half price night but jack and steve were great! (and anytime to see zahn is a good time. we all remember how funny he was as the lovable sammy in reality bites). clerks, the animated series. i watched this one with a bunch of rowdy boys so when the cartoon was failing in the funny catagory, they continued to amuze me (the fact that they laughed at every single joke refering to: drugs, sex, flatulence, any liquid that comes from the body, you get the point). but all in all i thought it was a bit over the top and wasn't nearly as funny as i expected it to be. |
