right now i've been listening to a lot of old roling stones. i was fortunte enough to come across some used cd's at a local store. and anyone who knows anything about trying to find used stones especially old stones it's like finding water in a very hot desert. you can always find *steel wheels* but try to find *let it bleed* and you've got some headaches a-coming. so anyways the stones, *aftermath* is brilliant of course with classics like paint it black and under my thumb...it's hard to go wrong. but the true gem on this one is definitely lady jane by far.

i've also been rocking out to
fu manchu's *king of the road*.  i saw these guys live at glastonbury and i knew that i had to hear more after the first song they played. well everyone knows i have a hard on for used cd's (nothing's better then finding a cd that you've been looking for used. it feels like you've really accomplished something) so i finally found it used last month. and the search was well worth it. just enough rock n' roll to give you that hyper rush, and to top it off it's funny as shit. i'd suggest anyone to check it out. standing out to me is the opening track, hell on wheels and boogie van. check it out!

ivy's new one *long distance* just came out in japan recently. of course the rest of the word has to wait, it won't be released here for a couple more months. but i was lucky enough to get a hold of a copy. what can i say! this totally blows *apartment life* out of the water! i love it and i can't get enough of it. this is pop music that i don't think i can get sick of. long distance opens up with undertow, one of the best songs i've heard come out of this trio. make sure you don't miss edge of the ocean either. a gem indeed. the whole ride is melodic and dominique's vocals are so warm this time around. like velvet.
