march 08, 2001 i know i know...i'm so far behind i should be ashamed. i just watched eddie murphy's delirious for the first time. and i must say that i've never laughed like that in my life! this is the funniest video to ever grace my presence. pure columbian grade a gold here! the fact that it was filmed in 1983 just adds to the homour, it's jammed packed with politically incorrect jokes. and knowing what we know know, looking back at it, it's soooooo funny! i watched it three times in one weekend, and the laughs kept a-comin'. everyone must go rent this now!! you will pee your pants, i promise. so i had to folow delirious up with eddie murphy's raw. this ones got some good charcters, but is no where near the gold quality of delirious. raw came out back in 1987 and eddie's still modeling the full piece lether suit but the jokes seem a little stale. but having said that, i think i would have found raw a lot more funny if i hadn't just seen delerious. eddie pulls some of the great characters out for a reunion too, the drunk father, mr.t, and the obnoixious kid are back for more. as well as eddie's hillarious "white guy" voice pops up here and there. |
