april 12, 2001 i finally got outside providence on video! yippee! so i've made good and watched my brand new spanking copy at least four times. hillarious flick, granted it's no dazed and confused but any movie focused on the free wheelin' crazy youth in the seventies always seems to deliver for me. and "drugs delanie", the name makes me crack a smile alone, not to mention this character is the "slater" from dazed. loveable and hillarious. and hey throw in a smart-ass kid in a wheel chair and a three-legged dog, well all i have to say is: "where can you go wrong?". pulp, pulp, pulp. pulp fiction. fiction.fiction.fiction. i love this movie!!! some of the sharpest dialogue and amazing scenes out there. try and remember the first time you saw it, the amazement you most likely had. i still get that every time i watch it. at the time of it's release it was so different and refreshing and to this day i still appreciate that about it. sure there are hundeads of copy cat movies out there now but this one still seems to shine bright. and mia wallace kicks some serious ass. i have a guilty little secret. i like jennifer lopez. deal with it. anyways out of sight is a fun little flick in which oh my goodness i even think george clooney is attractive. bank robberies and funky editing kick this flick into high gear. granted the "love story" is a bit of a stretch and a bit on the fromage side but all in all i think we've found a keeper. one of my favorite soderbergh flicks definitley. |
