"you need to stop watching movies and start your life" what i've been watching... i finally watched the virgin suicides again. i had to work myself up to it cause quite frankly that movie leaves me with a really weird feeling after. hmmm. not to say i didn't enjoy the movie actually just the opposite i LOVED this movie. the superimposed shots of lux kill me. so obviously brillaint. but here's where the problem for me starts...i'm not overly impressed by the actual story, not like i am with the cinematography and editing. i again found myself a tad bored halfway through the story. visually i was peaking but emotionaly i just wasn't there. all that said i still of course had to go out and buy the video so i guess the visuals can carry a whole movie. interesting. ok ok who doesn't love a little kid n' play now and again? house party, one of my all time favorite teen flicks was recently blasting it's way through my boob tube. first thing is first: the late 80's early 90's were a scary scary time. second thing: this is one of the most hillarious flicks! i hadn't watched it in so long. this movie still delivers the laughs it promised a decade ago. kid n' play really hit the hot spot on this one! okay for the translation (read: it's a really funny movie, go pick it up and clear a spot on the floor for dancing then pop that one into the player and have a good time!) the little shop of horrors was one of my all time favorite movies when i was little tyke. so i popped it in the vcr one night for a blast from the past nostalgic feeling. well i totally forgot how amazing this movie is! i'm going to buy it! the cast has greats like steve martin and rick moranis (ok this one is debatable as a "great"...sorry rick but we cant forget the honey i shrunk the kids series) and some amazing guest apperances from the late great john candy, james belushi, christopher guest and bill murray. it is a musical so if you can already stand a little singing and dancing you'll fall right into it. |
