“I hate you! You’re nothing but a little rat, akuto (scoundrel)!” Cried out his sister Himeka, some years back. Though insulted at first, the young boy took it to heart and after consideration, was proud by the scornful name. So the next time Himeka declared him a scoundrel he grinned, and thanked her for the compliment. This infuriated his already angry sister, so naturally he just had to adopt the name. The name gave him a reputation as a cool “badass” around his school…which was always thrown in question each time his mother called out “Aku-chan!”, causing him to moan and blush.

It kinda tainted his image, y’know.

Honestly, Gakuto is a good kid. He likes playing the occasional prank, but apart from that he’s respectful to his teachers, does his homework, helps his mother with her gardens, and is just a generally nice boy. This all can really put down to his strong male role model, his father, Hiroshi Nakano. While Hiro was away at concerts, like his fellow band mates, he would also call home regularly and be on the phone for hours at a time just to hear his family’s voices and be a part of their lives. While magazines splash images of famous musicians cheating on their wives, he only sees his father showing his mother unconditional (very gross) love, and as he reads about the children of stars speak out of the lack of affection they receive from their parents, he only experiences fun and interest from his father. So it isn’t a surprise to anyone, that Gakuto would turn out so grounded.

The move to Tokyo hasn’t affected him in the way it has for his socialite sister. Coming from an all-boys private school, and entering a mixed public school is thrilling. He’d never really liked the stuffiness of his former school. Now he feels like has more freedom, and of course there are the cute girls…

Right now this boy is training to land a spot on the basketball team – and new and wonderful ways to make his sister cry.
