You know how there are instances in your life that you play over time and time again and think to yourself “Man, I wish I hadn’t done that!” or “I could have handled that better”…well; Takashi Amano has been kicking himself silly since he foolishly cracked jokes at the expense of his school’s resident wealthy, blind student, Setsuna “Slacker” Seguchi. Within the hour he’d found himself tied up and blindfolded in the middle of a busy highway. Slacker allowed the bully to live when he agreed to follow his every order. Since that day he has played personal assistant to Slacker Seguchi.

Takashi has enjoyed a very middle-class life style. His father is a salary man for a modest company, earning a modest pay packet. Because his father is a commuter, Takashi takes care of his younger sister and older brother, as his mother recuperates from various ovarian cancer treatments and operations.

As a young child, his greatest joy came from attending soccer matches with his dad, and watching it on TV. Since then all he’s had is soccer on the brain. He practiced day and night, and was rewarded by his acceptance into the Infinite Flame Academy, a private school specialising in educating the training those deemed to be the best, from the most gifted scholars, musicians, and actors, to the most talented athletes, sportsmen/woman and dancers. In this school background has no meaning. His dream is to play for Japan some day, and as a member of his school’s team, he just may have a great shot.

Takashi is used to praise, and spotlight, he’s grown accustomed to having his way. This new lifestyle of servitude isn’t to his liking. His ego won’t stand for it; bossed around by a skinny twerp, and his lame little band… but it’s impossible to match the power of a Seguchi – especially one bent on revenge. And so he stands in frustration, taking orders, biding his time. He doesn’t plan to live his life as a slave.

And so help him, if he has to sell his soul to the Devil, he fill find a way out.
