Unallowed Love
What do you do with  an unallowed love?
You treat it as a small child.
Holding it close to your heart, sharing your warmth. Your arms enfolding it, gently rocking it to sleep. Tucking it safely into a barred crib in a quiet space in your heart. Covering it with a soft downey quilt keeping it warm and drowsy. Hiding it even from your self.
And what is to be done?
When on a magical star-filled night the memories of all the joys makes your quiet heart pound loudly. Waking its sweet sleeping form, and it raises its beautiful head its eyes burning from your soul .
You run to it, you pick it up, you cling to it.  Feeling the agony of allowing the unallowable.  For the moment loving the love,
Allowing the joys,
The peace,
The delights,
The dreams that it gives to you.
Calming your heart you calm the love.  You again rock it softly, settling it back into the barred downey nest you give it.
Petting its tiny back singing soft lullabies.

Hush my love,

Sleep now my love,
It is safest when you sleep.
