| Educational Radio and Television Working in collaboration with both the Free University and Reza Shah Kabir University, the Educational Radio and Television center will comprise the third unit of this academic community. ERT will expand its involvement with multi-media educational systems at the secondary school level designed to meet Iran’s rising demand for education. By making education both public and ubiquitous through the use of the latest technology, ERT can overcome the lack of teachers and school facilities, which limit the effectiveness of traditional teaching methods. Broadcasts on national and local channels, already used as teaching aids in the class room, will be further developed into a new learning concept based on creative thinking and an understanding of the social context of the lessons taught. In addition, ERT will devote itself to training instructors to use the broadcasts as teaching aids, organizing listening groups in areas removed from school facilities, and pursuing further research in the field.
