| Tabriz Cultural Center With a sensitive regard for the social and historical background of Azarbayejan province in which it is located, the Tabriz Cultural Center is designed around a large meydan (traditional Iranian square or plaza) which will be filled with daily pedestrian movement, bringing constant liveliness to the complex. Musical and theatrical programs will take place in this meydan, protected from the weather by a translucent dome of classic geometrical design. The surrounding spaces will house a variety of activities – performance halls for 200 to 1,200 people, a library, an exhibit hall, restaurant, teahouse, studios, workshops and an audio-visual hall presenting the history and life of Azerbayejan.
