I would like to invite you to become a member of the Great Orme Badminton Club.

The Great Orme Club was formed in September 1999 and plays at the North Wales Badminton

Centre, Bryn Estyn, Deganwy on Tuesdays from 7.00pm to close and Thursdays 7.00pm to close.

The Tuesday night’s are for the competitive league club

The Thursday night’s are mainly for the non league section of the club

The club is aimed at giving all the players the chance to play the badminton that they want,

whether that be social or competitive. It will also give you the chance to play with or against

different players, rather than playing solely the players in your group/club.

For the competitive player we have four teams entered into the Conwy County badminton

mixed league, (one team in each division).

The first team has only been beaten twice since we joined the league in the season 2000/01

The senior club has

one ex England/Wales International and 1996 British Olympic Squad player

two current Wales U-21 International players

two current Wales U-17 International players 

four players who played in the Conwy County Badminton Association Senior County Team which played and won the Welsh Inter County Championship 1st division on four occasions

and four players who are rated County “A” standard juniors

The club also has an additional junior club with 50 players and is the premier club in N.W Wales

FEES:

Seniors

Players who wish to join                      

Tuesday                                               £30.00 per year (inclusive of all affiliation fees*)

                                                            plus £3.00 per session No away match fee

Casual users (Tuesday & Thursday)      £5.00 per session

Thursday night only                              £15.00 per year (inclusive of all affiliation fees*)

Students                                              £15.00 per year

                                                            Plus £3.00 per session

Feather shuttles are supplied by the club.

* Affiliated to the Welsh Badminton Union and the Conwy County Badminton Association.

The affiliation fee includes personal accident insurance.

The club plays throughout the summer
